Dear EGFC Member,
Thank you for being a member of the Exmouth Game Fishing Club Inc (EGFC) for 2012. This is a big year for EGFC with the international event, followed by many others. Your support during these events and during the year in general is greatly appreciated and needed to help keep the club operating.
Your clubhouse is now fully licensed, meaning that you can enjoy a refreshing ale at the bar anytime. To meet our licensing requirements it is important that we are all responsible. Please note that juniors must act responsibly and be accompanied by an adult at all times. No person is allowed to bring alcohol on to the property when the bar is open. Please remember this when arriving, especially during events. No alcohol is to be consumed outside the licensed area which is mapped clearly at the venue . We urge you to assist us in doing what is correct or it will jeopardise our license.
Remember that all funds raised by the EGFC go back into the EGFC. The clubhouse is a community venue and the EGFC is an incorporation that is run primarily by volunteers. We ask that you please understand and help where possible to ensure the club runs efficiently.
Your membership fee entitles you to
- The use of facilities at the new Exmouth Game Fishing Clubhouse. This exciting new building is located next to the floating pens at the marina overlooking the magnificent Exmouth Gulf, marina, beach and nearby Novotel Resort.
- The opportunity to participate in fun weekend activities, educational seminars, rigging sessions and sporting events.
- Fishing members will be eligible to compete in our many tournaments and events throughout the year. This includes the famous Gamex in March: an event that is recognised as Western Australia’s premiere game fishing tournament.
- Fishing members will receive the Game Fishing Association of Australia (GFAA) journal. $20 of anglers’ membership fees are allocated to GFAA. This entitles an angler to claim a state or national record throughout the EGFC 2012 membership year.
- Specials and free products from 25 local businesses valued at over $300. This value sheet has been well received by businesses and locals and we encourage you to support them along with all the EGFC sponsors.
As a member you will also be sent a copy of our newsletter, keeping you up to date with events, activities, clubhouse progress and tournament results. If you have a story or photos you would like to share with us for the newsletter, please see one of the committee members, email or contact us via our mailing address.
If you have internet access you can enter for events online, purchase EGFC merchandise, see fishing photos, check weekly fishing reports and keep up to date with individual tallies on our website www.egfc.com.au . If you have tag cards to be recorded, this must be completed and given to the weigh master, Kurt Decker, no later than 2 months after the tagging. All tag cards must be given to Kurt via post or through Bluewater Tackle World Exmouth before 7th December 2012.
All members are encouraged to put forward ideas, suggestions, assistance and support to help the EGFC to continue to grow into the future: after all, it is your club.
Best wishes from all the committee in 2012.
