Rigging session
Come down to the grassed area at Bluewater
Tackleworld Exmouth from 5pm. Ask questions, help others and enjoy a social afternoon of learning about billfish, how to target them, tag them, release them and take photos of your great catch. Bring your gear to rig up and be ready. Bring a chair, a smile and whatever quenches your thirst!

Briefing and boat auction at Exmouth Rec Centre
1800 hrs. Light snacks provided for competitors
Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th October
Lines in 0800-1800 hrs
Tag card confirmation 1800-2000hrs
Dinner from 1830
Sunday 25th October
Lines in 0800-1700 hrs
Tag card confirmation 1800-1900 hrs
Dinner and Presentation from 1900 hrs.
Venue: Graces Tavern.
Daily raffle prizes and lucky random boat draws. Every junior wins a prize! Please advise us if you are not able to attend the presentation for catering purposes. This is a WAGFA sanctioned event.
SECTIONS
All sections will be awarded to the highest point scoring (HPS) angler/boat in each section. In the event of a draw the winner will be the angler/boat with lightest average line class. If still tied the winner will be the angler/boat who accumulated the highest point score first.
1. Champion Junior Angler Tag and Release Billfish. Prizes valued at $500.00
2. Champion Angler Tag and Release Sailfish. Prizes valued at $1000.00
3. Champion Angler Tag and Release Marlin. Prizes valued at $1000.00
4. Runner-up Champion Boat Prizes valued at $500.00
5. Champion Boat. Prizes valued at $2000.00
POINTS SCORING
This is a tag and release only event for billfish species. NSW billfish tags MUST only be used to qualify.
Points will be allocated as follows.
On any line class between and including 1-15kg sailfish/spearfish = 400points per tagged fish
On any line class between and including 1-15kg marlin/broadbill = 500points per tagged fish
On any line class between and including 24-60kg sailfish/spearfish = 300points per tagged fish
On any line class between and including 24-60kg marlin/broadbill = 400points per tagged fish
ENTRY FEES AND CATERING
Official entry form together with fees must be received no later than Monday the 19th of October for catering and organisational purposes.
LATE ENTRIES WILL BE FINED $25 per person
Junior entry $45
Adult entry $100
This includes rigging session, Thursday night briefing snacks, Friday night meal, Saturday night meal and Sunday presentation dinner. Also tournament bag and your chance to win one of the
many prizes on offer for sections, lucky draws and other prizes. If you need extra meals for visiting friends or relatives, PLEASE advise us when you enter. Cost is $50 per adult for all meals and $25 per child under 10 years of age.
NB: If you are not a member of EGFC or a club affiliated with GFAA, you must join EGFC.
Membership $88 for adults, $38.50 for juniors
