The Marina has been firing for different species on different nights. One night there were heaps of spangled emperor, the next night the cod were everywhere, then the next mangrove jack! Brad from the shop caught 6 Jacks one night, with 3 of them over 60cms, the other 3 just on the legal size [...]

The boat ‘Mickey Finn’ was fishing off Tantabiddi with its crew from Perth this last week. The boys reported catching everything from mackerel, wahoo, dolphin fish, barracuda and sailfish just outside the north passage. They managed to land 14 mackerel successfully without being harassed by sharks, which is good to hear.
